Product Review: Nikon Action 10 X 22 X 50 Zoom Binoculars
If you want a good pair of binoculars that can zoom in to make things look 22 times closer than they actually are and a 50mm opjective lense that lets in lots of light, the Nikon Action 10 X 22 X 50 Zoom Binoculars are for you!
My husband is a hunter. All hunters need good binoculars and his were old and worn, so one Christmas, I surprised him with a pair of Nikon Action 10 X 22 X 50 Zoom Binoculars. He was even happier than I had thought to make him and his enthusiasm for them was a joy to watch. He has since taken them with him where ever he goes. They live in his truck and he uses them on a daily basis. He is always spotting something off in the distance that he wants to see.
According to the Nikon website, the Nikon Action 10 X 22 X 50 Zoom Binoculars feature:
Quick central focusing-for manual focusing and a greater degree of fine tuning for sharper images.
Sharp multicoated optics for superb contrast, vivid color and glare reduction by allowing as much light as possible to enter the optics.
BAK-4 prisms -- made of a high quality glass and which produce sharp images and good edge to edge sharpness.
Diopter adjustment -which is separate focusing for each eye piece.
When I decided to buy him binoculars, I had no idea what to look for, so I studied sites on the internet to learn what to look for when buying binoculars.
The numbers on the Nikon Action 10 X 22 X 50 Zoom binoculars would have been a mystery to me had I not done my homework.
I learned that the first two numbers, 10 and 22, mean the zoom portion is capable of viewing, at minimum, 10 times (X) and can be adjusted up to 22 X power. That means that without zooming, any object will look 10 times closer to you than it really is and the zoom can be adjusted up to look 22 times closer.
The last number, 50, is the size of the objective lens (measured in millimeters) going across the lens. The size of the objective lens will determine how much light it can obtain for effective viewing. The higher the number, the more light can pass through which projects a brighter image.
My husband was so pleased with the Nikon Action 10 X 22 X 50 Zoom Binoculars that I couldn't wait to try them out, either. I could not believe how close and clear everything was.
If you want a good pair of binoculars, you can't go wrong with the Nikon Action 10 X 22 X 50 Zoom Binoculars!
