Dog the Bounty Hunter: What Makes the Show so Successful
Dog the Bounty Hunter has been on the air since 2004 and continues to be very popular. Part of the interest is do to the family relationship and their bounty hunting skills.
Da Kine Bail Bonds is the place where Dog and his family can be found working on cases and finding fugitives to bring to justice.
Most of the shows are filmed in Hawaii and Colorado. The Chapman family calls both places home and does bounty hunting from these two places. The filming of Dog the Bounty Hunter is reality television but is not scripted. What you see is what you get.
The Chapman family is a close knit family. On the show there are five members of the family that participate in the bounty hunting business on a regular basis. They are Beth Chapman, Duane Lee Chapman, Leland Chapman, Lyssa Chapman-Galanti and Dog's brother Tim who works with the family when needed.
The show has been on the air since 2004 and has stayed on the A E; channel from the beginning. What has made Dog the Bounty Hunter so popular and the show so successful? Is the show still on the air because it's a real life show and not scripted? Is there something unique about the show that continues to attract new viewers?
The show is based on finding the bad guys. What makes this show different from the other shows like it is that everything is done with love, compassion and understanding for the fugitive and the family of the fugitive.
Dog and his family can be seen openly praying before a bounty hunt starts and after one has ended. This is something you just don't see in other reality shows. The family will also talk to the fugitives after the have been caught and are being taken to jail. They often talk about what the right thing to do is and what caused them to do the wrong thing. Sometimes Dog will give the fugitive a second chance. He does this because their family is a second chance family. They really care about the people they take to jail.
Dog and his family never use any guns or other harmful devices to capture the fugitives. They do carry mace and bean bag type guns. They never use anything to cause bodily harm. The best way they have found to catch a fugitive is to use intimidation tactics. They do this by dressing and presenting themselves in an intimidating way. Once they have the person in custody then compassion is shown.
Even with the negative publicity that has surrounded Duane "Dog " Chapman in the past it has done nothing to hurt him on the Dog the Bounty Hunter show.
Dog the Bounty Hunter continues to be very popular and continues to bring in new viewers and more fans to the show. Dog and his family are genuine people and not make believe, this is what makes the show so successful.
