Ghost Hunting with International Paranormal Reporting Group
An interview with International Paranormal Reporting Group's Executive Director, Marie Cuff.
I asked Marie a series of questions, to get her take on her group, what they do, and her personal views in regard to the paranormal. The transcript of our interview is below.
KL- How long have you been a paranormal enthusiast? How long have you had your group, or ghost hunting club?
MC- I have been researching the paranormal since I was 16 years old, so 25 plus years now. The IPRG has been in business since 2000. We cover Idaho, Oregon and Parts of Washington, but have contacts all over the world so that we can assist clients who may be out of our coverage area.
KL- What has been one of your most amazing paranormal experiences?
MC- Every case is interesting in its own right. The reported activity may be similar to what others have reported, but the clients are never the same. One of the most interesting personal experiences I have had- there have been several over the years- would have to be one at the Old Idaho Pen in Boise Idaho.
We were on the top tier of a cell block looking into the cell at the very end of the row. I was trying to get a photo of something on the back wall of the cell. I had leaned in as far as I could and it felt just like someone, a male, reached up and ran his fingers through my hair and then I heard "Oh pretty." That was memorable for sure.
KL- There are many people who do not believe in the paranormal. What might you be able to say to them that could possibly sway their opinion?
MC- My job is not to sway their opinion one way or the other but to help those in need even if that means that through our investigations we find a logical explanation for the activity. Our goal is to make them comfortable again in their own home or business. We do investigations with the public and we do community education events. We share our findings with the public that way and through our website www.iprgc.com and we leave it up to them to decide what they want to believe or not believe.
I can tell you that we have had many over the years that have investigated with us who came in as hard nosed cynics and left a believer because of personal experiences they had.
Each individual has to decide for themselves. All I can do is continue my work to help my clients who do believe they are experiencing something and share my findings. You will always have individuals out there who would not believe these things are possible even if they were to witness it with their own eyes, and that is okay. Each to their own and I will continue doing what I do for many more years because I enjoy the work and the clients that we get to help.
